No Go Sleep! by Kate Feiffer. 2012.

Nighty Night, Sleep Tight
Inspiration Book:
No go sleep! by Feiffer, Kate — Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, 2012--E-; Int Lvl: K-3; Rd Lvl: 1.7 A baby does not want to go to sleep, even as everything else around her wishes her a good night.
Rationale: My schools, both public and private, have had preschools housed in the building. If the remainder of the school isn’t too large, it is possible to do story hours with the preschoolers on a regular basis. By not too large, I mean no more than two sections per grade in a K-5 school, and no more than one section per grade in a K-8 school. Every year my preschool teachers do some sort of pajama day. The titles in this blog fit right in to a pajama day theme.
This blog post is one of three I reworked from one for a book, At All About Sleep from A to Zzzz. The book is now OP and difficult to still find in collections so I split up the three story hours into three separate posts because there are so many ways to approach sleeping and bedtime. Recently I posted a blog for Sleep Like a Tiger that featured animals sleeping. This blog post is a story hour just about going to sleep and the problems involved. The story hour includes a puppet play, several read alouds, poetry and songs, and encourages figuring out a pattern to help go to sleep.
In the near future look for blogs about night mischief in Night Ninja and hibernation in Old Bear.
